New Hold Enhancement in R12.1.1 #oow2009

In R12.1.1 Oracle has provided an enhancement to progress the workflow once you release the Hold.On Hold release form there is new check box “Progress Workflow”,If this check box is checked on release of Hold it will progress the workflow.

user can set up “Progress workflow ” in Hold Setup as well he can overwrite it at the time of Hold Release

Mass change Now available in OM Quick Sales Order Form in R12.1.1 #oow09

Order has implemented “Mass change” functionality in Quick Sales order form in R12.1.1.It was available in Order Organizer for quite some time back.With this feature you can change quite large number of attribute in 1 go across the multiple sales order/lines.

Her’s how it work.

Go to Quick Sales Order form , Query for your orders.let’s say I want to query for all the orders that I have created for customer “XYZ” in last 5 days and want to change the “Salesrep” on all these Orders.

Query your Orders.

navigate to – Tools -

Mass Change -

It Popup “Mass change” form , populate the Attribute that you want to change, and Press ok.

System will prompt “Do you want to cascade changes to Line”, if you want to do that Press “yes” and all Done.

Customer Acceptance (Oracle Apps Release12 Feature)

Customer Acceptance is new feature introduced in Oracle Application Release 12.Customers in some industries have need to defer invoicing and/or revenue recognition for shipped goods until the customer receives the shipment and formally accepts the material.

In Oracle R12 Customer acceptance/rejection can be captured from customers, customer service representatives, or from an external system.
Customers can perform the acceptance in following manners.

Log into the self-service Order Information portal.
Import customer acceptance/rejection from an external system with Order Import/Process Order API.
Record Acceptance /Rejection from Sales Order Form.
